Internet search giant Google is making preparations for its yearly I/O developer meeting set to happen this June.
As per reports, the conference will take place on 25th & 26th of this month, where the world famous firm will reportedly present an innovative Android television.
The firm has already made a few attempts to adopt the living room with its Google television, and the forthcoming Android TV is the novel step in this route.
Referring a number of sources, Gigaom stated that the search giant will be making declaration of its innovative Android television at its Google I/O 2014 meeting in June.
The highly anticipated Android television will reportedly hit markets as an innovative platform for television and STB makers, directing to assist bridge the gap between streaming tools and tv set.
Google rolled out its Google television during 2010, however failed to witness much triumph. The forthcoming Android TV is likely to be more concentrated on "web media services together with Android-based games."
The firm is reportedly making discussions with Netflix and Hulu Plus in order to join forces on Android television, and may also reveal a few hardware associates at the meeting. Gigaom further discloses that Android television's mystic weapon is nicknamed as Pano, and is the major aspect in making a simpler user interface (UI).
With this alleged Pano, application programs will reportedly emerge as individual members of content in a card-like mode on the Android television home screen, accordingly permitting users to simply surf flicks, television shows, and additional things on the machine. This card-like user interface will distinguish itself from customary Smart television user interfaces by permitting for horizontal browsing.
"Content will be showed in a series of cards, which can be witnessed in a horizontal direction, and each film or television show event has deep connections into publisher's application programs, offering users the alternative to start playback at once. The journal further commented that Android television is a software podium, not hardware, and it would make sense for the web search giant to reveal it at the I/O meeting.
